AFC Championship 2014: Tom Brady looks to set touchdown record

New England's quarterback ha a chance to make history on Sunday with a few touchdown passes.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is on the verge of setting another NFL postseason record. This time, Brady is looking to break the mark for postseason touchdown passes.

Joe Montana currently owns the record, having thrown 45 during his years with the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Brett Favre is second on the list with 44, only two ahead of Brady's 42. Considering the mediocre Denver Broncos defense Brady will be facing on Sunday, it seems a good bet he will at least pull even with Favre.

Shockingly, Brady did not throw any touchdowns in the Divisional playoffs versus the Indianapolis Colts, letting LeGarrette Blount do most of the dirty work with four touchdowns of his own.

If Brady wins, he will also be punching a ticket for his sixth Super Bowl, the most of any quarterback. John Elway started five with the Broncos during the 1980's and 90's, the only other quarterback to start as many as Brady.
